  1. You will be asked to check four boxes on the actual submission form:
    • Do you choose Option 1 or Option 2 above?
    • Will you be able to present virtually or in person depending on the Session Format Option you choose? (Speakers outside the U.S. and Canada may be required to present virtually, unless they choose to cover their travel and hotel expenses.)
    • All the speakers in this submission and I will review all the additional speaker resources (short videos) before preparing our presentation. We will incorporate some of these tools and tips into our presentation. I understand that failure to do so could result in this session being pulled from the program.
    • All the speakers in this submission and I will meet the session presentation deadlines.
  2. Write a compelling title (maximum: 10 words) that quickly captures the key concept behind why someone should choose to attend your session over another.
  3. Write a description (maximum: 150 words) that contains your primary content categories/segments; how participants will be able to apply what they learn from you; how you will involve the audience in your session; and what types of content you will include in your handout.
  4. If you selected Option 1, please describe how you will engage the audience. Standard Q&A is not acceptable.
  5. Write an appropriate number of clear and focused learning objectives, using action verbs, for the format you have selected (maximum 50 words).
  6. Determine the level of knowledge and/or experience your audience should have in the topic area you are proposing (not necessarily in international education).
    • Level 1: No prior knowledge of the subject (0-3 years)
    • Level 2: General knowledge of the subject (4-9 years)
    • Level 3: Working knowledge of the subject (10+ years)
  7. Please provide the names and contact information for all speakers in your session at the time of proposal submission, including email addresses; CAS will notify each person listed in the proposal of his/her inclusion. Please do not add their names unless they have agreed to present. As the submitter, you will be CAS’s primary contact concerning this proposal.
    • For workshops: Session submitter and other speaker(s)
    • For sessions: Session submitter and other speaker(s)
  8. You will be able to access (but not change) your proposal after it is submitted, and a copy will be automatically sent to you via email. However, to be safe, save a copy of your proposal on your own computer.
  9. Ensure you follow all submission instructions and submission steps exactly. Any proposals missing required information will either not be accepted by the system or will not be considered during the review process.
